I will teach my students the language of music. I teach music with this single purpose: so my students will be able to give voice to that which they cannot say and for which they have no words. My studio has a positive and enthusiastic environment. I will tailor the curriculum to match the student’s specific learning needs.
Student & Family Responsibilities
Students agree to arrive at each lesson punctually, well-prepared, and with their books and music. To make good progress, daily quality practice is necessary. I want you to completely understand every assignment. Please ask questions.
Students must have an acoustic piano or quality digital piano at home. Keyboards are not acceptable. Recommendations can be found on the "Which Piano?" page of my website.
Tuition covers not only the actual lesson time spent with the student, but time preparing for each student as well.
An individualised plan for each student's course of study
Development of teaching materials
Training and experience
Professional organisation memberships
Music lending library
My hope is that students thoroughly enjoy their lessons and learning the piano. However, should a student wish to cease tuition, I ask for a half term's notice for terminating lessons.

1) Fees: From September 2019:
a) 30 minute lesson: £15
b) 45 minute lesson: £22.50
c) 60 minute lesson: £30

Any lesson that I have to cancel a lesson credit will be given.
Lessons are non refundable. Makeup lessons are not always possible and cannot be guaranteed.
Try to choose a lesson time in which you feel confident. The tuition you pay reserves an exclusive weekly time in my schedule for you/your child. Unlike a dentist or a hairdresser, I cannot resell that time nor can I create extra teaching time in which to give lessons.
To help accommodate an occasional unavoidable change in student's schedules, you can choose to be part of an email Swap List. (Please let me know if you do not want to be included in the list.) Please let me know if you have made a swap so I can plan accordingly. It's easiest to just cc me on the final email between two parents confirming that a switch will be happening.
If you are unable to make a lesson due to illness I will try my best to make up the lesson. I may contact you in gaps become available in my schedule. This may be a couple of days in advance or short notice via text message. If you/your child is mildly ill, lessons may take place via Skype or FaceTime, please contact me to arrange this if necessary. Please advise me of any absence as soon as possible.
The 2019/2020 Calendar includes 36 weeks of scheduled lessons.
